Ian’s Blog 26th January 2025

I had a really good recording session with Jay Brown on Tuesday afternoon. He played some lovely bass on four of my new songs. Two of these are astronomy themed songs and the other two are about Torquay in the 1920s. Meanwhile there is some information about my latest album on this webpage https://www.theprsd.co.uk/2025/01/14/the-further-adventures-of-the-legendary-ten-seconds/ Also here is a link to a game about the battle of Quebec which has been sent to me by Columbia games and it looks really interesting https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/columbiagames/quebec-1759?ref=3afkbc Finally I have enjoyed listening to a new album recorded by my friend Phil Swann. It is an album of instrumentals with the spoken narrative introductions of Steve Oram. One of the tunes is a reworking of an instrumental called Country Fayre which is on one of my albums that I recorded with Phil Swann who composed this music. I’d like to think that Phil's new album has been influenced by some of my stuff. Here is a link to the album which is called Existence Instrumentals https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lQyjT9Si38qC4Lqq9EtTYP_utmeKF9R0g

Ian’s Blog 19th January 2025

My friend Jay Brown is coming over to my house next week so that I can record him playing bass on some of my new songs. One of the songs is about the search for another planet in our Solar system. Will we ever find That elusive planet nine Will our theories unwind If planet nine we cannot find In the realm beyond Neptune We really hope to find it soon The Kuiper Belt shows something strange So our understanding must change Will we ever find That elusive planet nine Will our theories unwind If planet nine we cannot find Perhaps Sedna gives us a clue A glimpse of knowledge that is new With an orbit so far from the Sun A mysterious puzzle has been spun So the search goes on for planet nine The tilt of strange orbits is a sign That planet nine must be real Or what might a new theory reveal Will we ever find That elusive planet nine Will our theories unwind If planet nine we cannot find That elusive planet nine Jay was interviewed with his wife Jules on Riviera FM on 6th January. Here is the link to the radio show that features them. You can hear them singing some of their songs and talking about their music at about 1 hour from the beginning of the show. It was also nice of them to give me a mention. https://www.mixcloud.com/RivieraFM/daytime-live-mike-marion-6th-january-2025/
